September 20th Sunday

Today's ride of 57 miles took us from Bolton to Talkin, just 12 miles from the Scotland border.  The day was beautiful, a good temperature and no rain.  More climbs but not as big or long as yesterday.  I have a feeling the entire trip, maybe with the exception of the final day will be filled with up and downs and very little flat terrain.  This is a tough ride!

Michelle continues to impress me with her power on the flats and reasonable grades (leaving me with a view of her blinking tail light) and tackling the steep 16% + grades on the climbs.  Tonight we're staying at the Blacksmiths Inn a lovely Pub with rooms.  We had a fine meal and an early evening getting ready for tomorrow ride (79 miles) to Pebbles a town not far from Edinburgh. 

6 more days and about 450 miles to John O'Groats!
